Sunstrip Fitting Guide
When you receive your sunstrip you will notice it is very tall, 203mm is well over the legal limit (which we believe is 140mm but dont quote us on it) however when you come to fitting the strip you cut away the excess at the top when you have chosen your desired height anyway and we believe better have too much than too little.
Clean the area with a residue free cleaner (cleaning alcohol is good)
Place the sunstrip on the window with both front and back application still attached, make sure it's straight, measuring each side, (if you measure the very edge of the windscreen to the top, on both sides it should compensate for the windscreen curve and be straight) secure it in place with masking tape
Cut the sunstrip to just wider than the windscreen
Peel about 2 inches of the backing paper from one side of the sunstrip
Cut and remove the 2 inches of backing paper.
Using the squeegee, rub the sunstrip down onto the window outwards towards the edge of the window, ensure to push it into the edges
Peel a little from the remaining backing paper
Squeegee the sunstrip down bit by bit ensuring to work towards the unstuck side
Peel more backing paper as required as not to get the sunstrip stuck before it's time
Take your time, and work bit by bit
make sure to get it into the edges.
That's the difficult bit over with
Using a sharp craft knife, cut away the excess strip
Now peel off the application tape to reveal your block colour sunstrip
Now to apply your text or logo, place the logo, in the center of the sunstrip, secure with masking tape
Cut away a section of the backing paper as before
Squeegee the exposed part of the logo to the sun strip
Now peel off the other side or some of it if the logo is large
Squeegee the rest of the logo onto the sun strip
Peel off the application tape
Stand back and admire your new sunstrip
